Studio Manager/ Lead Fabricator/ Artist

George Retkes serves as the Studio Manager and Lead Fabricator at MGA Sculpture Studio since 2020. He studied Visual Arts at Pinellas County Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School and earned a BFA in sculpture from Ringling College of Art and Design in 2010.

Prior to his current role he worked in residential construction until joining the studio in 2014. Later in 2022 he also co-founded ARTONOMY, LLC with his partner, Laura Spencer, to pursue additional creative side projects. Today he utilizes his skills and leadership to help drive and manifest the multitude of projects happening at MGA.
